Pre-service

In UCLL teacher training (Belgium), the bachelor preschool education encompasses three years.

In the first year of their training, students practice with Playing-2-gether as prevention. More specifically, students get trained in Playing-2-gether by blended learning. They first learn the Playing-2-gether skills by watching good practice examples on the Dutch website.  Next, they practice the skills during their internships. They make videos of their implementation of Playing-2-gether and discuss these videos during group coaching sessions. In the second year of their training, students practice with Playing-2-gether as an intervention. During classes, they watch and discuss fragments of the Klasse-movie on warm teacher-child relationships (link).

In the Bachelor-after-Bachelor Special needs education, inservice students watch and discuss the movie of Juf Jelke (link) and learn to link different theoretical frameworks to it. They try to translate the findings to the practice of their own classes and schools.
